On a typical week, I travel to my favorite local Chinese restaurant, Tam’s Cuisine of China.
Being a creature of habit, I always order their Sweet & Sour Shrimp lunch combination… or as I like to call it .. the pigout fest with shrimp. After chowing down on the tasty food, I crack open my fortune cookie and usually read what is being foretold to me for that week.
Now, for some reason, I’m one of those people who hardly ever gets a true “fortune” cookie.
Rarely do I crack open the cookie and read, “A big opportunity is coming your way this week at work,” or something of the sort. I usually end up with something like, “He who hesitates, masturbates” or some other wise ass statement and/or words of wisdom. So that kind of bums me out.
Regardless, I still enjoy reading them. I find them usually to be spot on when it comes to my philosophy, or outlook on life. Then a few weeks ago I got this one:

Sitting alone in the crowded restaurant, I immediately burst out into laughter. After a few startled stares I composed myself and continued to chuckle as I got up and walked out.
So, in the spirit of a good chuckle and interesting and fast reads, I’ve decided I will post my fortunes here on the blog every time I go to Tams.
I’m going to keep my fingers crossed for some more good ones!
